Service Description

Too often, factors such as stress, genetic influences, improper eating habits and insufficient physical activity can predispose a woman to hormonal disequilibrium. Any negative effect on hormonal balance has important ramifications for general health, as sex hormones such as oestrogen and progesterone not only affect a woman's fertility but also interact with various other bodily systems to influence energy, cognitive function and psychological wellbeing. Optimal female health involves maintaining an intricate balance of multiple hormone-driven factors which include adrenal, thyroid and reproductive function. When adversely affected, these elements may negatively influence bone health, cardiovascular health, muscle integrity and immune function in addition to fertility. Weight gain, food intolerances, constipation and autoimmune conditions such as leaky gut and Hashimoto's thyroiditis are also commonly implicated as conditions stemming from poor hormonal health. Correcting underlying imbalances requires a multi-faceted approach focusing on nutrition, lifestyle, individual constitution, genetic factors and environmental influences. Nutritional support and therapeutic interventions are offered for the following conditions: Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) Endometriosis Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) Uterine fibroids Pelvic inflammatory disease Menopause
